UThriveLabs
Blood Review Agent. Rebuild proposal, September 2026

From a prototype to a system the clinic can trust

Where it should live, where AI belongs, what it costs, and the costs nobody sees today.

1 / 11

Where things stand

0
patients on file, four of them twice
0
open reminders, worked out fresh every time a page opens
0
jobs the AI does today, including emails and arithmetic

It works as a demo. It runs on a hobby host in another country, with no backups you can wind back and no record of what the AI was told.

2 / 11

This is patient data. Three things are not optional.

Stays in AustraliaThe app, the database, every backup and every uploaded result live in Sydney.
Sealed offOnly the app can talk to the database. Nothing on the internet can reach it.
Can be wound backIf the wrong thing is deleted, the records go back to any minute in the past week.
3 / 11

Three ways to host it

Quick
$36a month
One computer for everything. Your team does the backups.
Balanced Recommended
$67a month
One computer for the app. DigitalOcean runs and backs up the database.
Big
$233a month
Two computers and a spare database. For when an hour down is unacceptable.

Prices are DigitalOcean's published rates in US dollars for their Sydney data centre.

4 / 11

Why Balanced. Picture the worst day.

Someone deletes the wrong patient at 3pm.

QuickYour team restores last night's copy. Everything entered today is gone.Lost a day
BalancedDigitalOcean puts the records back to 2:59pm.Lost a minute
BigThe same, with a spare database already running for the day the hardware fails.Lost a minute

Balanced is the cheapest option where a mistake costs minutes, not months. Big is there when the clinic outgrows it.

5 / 11

Nineteen AI jobs become four

Everything with one right answer becomes a rule. AI stays where judgement is needed.

Which AI, and is the top tier overkill?

Standard tier, reasoning on. Full report, brief, check-ins.
8cents a report
Top tier. The 16-week review only.
20cents a report

For two of the three reports, yes, the top tier is overkill. The doctor signs off every one, and software checks the numbers first. Dr Ashraf compares the first 20 reports blind, and the cheaper tier stays unless the difference is obvious.

7 / 11

The cost that is not on the AI invoice

When a report comes back wrong, per 100 reviews.

Today. No reject button. Re-upload, re-run everything, re-read everything, dig with no logs.
$0
Rebuild. One button, a one-line note, only the writing re-runs, both versions side by side.
$0

The AI bill for a year is about $35. Rework on 100 reviews costs forty times that in people's time. That is where the money is.

8 / 11

Cost as the clinic grows

RecordsAI, to process themHosting, per monthToday's prototype
1,000$35$67Works
10,000$353$67Pages drag
100,000$3,530$97Barely usable
1,000,000$35,300$260 to $320Does not open

AI is charged per job, over years. Hosting is charged per month. Neither is the big number.

9 / 11

Four caps, so there are no surprises

LengthA report may run to about 3,000 words, a summary to 600. A runaway job costs under a dollar.
ThinkingLight for summaries, medium for reports, deep for the 16-week review.
Monthly ceiling$100 to start, set at the provider, with a warning at 80 percent.
Daily limitIf jobs spike far above normal, the system pauses and tells the team.

What we need from UThrive

Choose the hosting option. We recommend Balanced, about $67 a month plus $36 for a test copy.
Agree the AI split and tiers.Four AI jobs, standard tier with reasoning, top tier for the 16-week review, a 20-report trial.
Approve the spending caps.Length, thinking depth, a $100 monthly ceiling, a daily limit.
Name the owners.Who holds the DigitalOcean account, and who signs the AI provider's data terms.
Tell us the real numbers. How often reports come back today, and what Dr Ashraf, Nate and Nico cost per hour.
11 / 11

Minutes, not months.

A system that keeps patient data in Australia, can be wound back, spends AI where judgement is needed, and shows its working.
